Read 1995 Ford Probe Smoking

My daughters 1995 Ford Probe 4 cyl. is Smoking from the exhaust, may I ask what it could be?

We put a differant engine in it last Fall and it did not smoke. In fact it ran very good. It has 95,000 miles on it.

I am hopeing that it is something sample.

What color is the smoke? Does it smoke all the time? Does get worse under acceleration?

]What color is the smoke?

WHITE

Does it smoke all the time?

I will have to look to see if it does, but right now I have to say yes.

Does get worse under acceleration?

That I have to see what happens when you accelerate, right now I would have to say yes but not sure.

Re: 1995 Ford Probe Smoking

White smoke is usually a sign of engine coolant entering the combustion chamber. Have you noticed any discoloration in the oil? Does the white smoke have a sweet smell or a smell of burning oil?
