My 93 GT started with an occasional shudder upon accelerating from a slow down, like rounding a corner. Then it got worse. Now, when accelerating, it hesitates and bucks badly. It runs better once up to speeed, but I can still feel it hestitating.

I thought it was the clutch going bad, so took it to a dealer. They said it wasn't the clutch, but was in the ignition. They put in a new set of plug wires, 'cause they said there was shorting. That didn't fix it.

They said they found a vacuum host leak. That didn't fix it.

They said it was my NGK spark plugs. I told them I had run NGK's for 10 years without a problem.

The disty is a rebuild, 2 years ago, with a new cap.

Any ideas?

We had a similar issues after some new leads; check to make sure all the connections are seated properly on the plugs.

Turned out to be the distributor, a rebuild from 3 years ago. I had kept the original and changed that from process of elimination.
