i'm currently at work, and went to take my probe out for my meal break, when i tried reversing, the rear driver's side caliper seems to be frozen, there's snow on the ground but not covering the tire. I tried playing with the handle inside the car, applying the break and taking it off, but it seems like it's not doing anything.

i'm unfortunately at work and don't have access to tools to do anything major, is there something simple i can do with maybe a phillips/flat head??

i've had the car running for about 20 mins now, hoping that maybe the heat from the exhaust will warm the rear calipers enough to un-stick.

any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. i need to get home from work somehow :(

it is also VERY cold where i live tonight--- about 5' F

Could be cable frozen or linkage at calliper .Make sure car wont roll when brake releaes and try moving / shaking by hand to free .

This issue is common the Probes. While the temperature may be contributing the rear calipers are prone to seizing. I had to replace the rear caliper on my 97 a few years ago (Mazda part) but I believe there is / was a cheap kit available in the US with all the parts & seals to rebuild the caliper, if your game.
