Is there anyone out here who can tell me something about an 89 Probe GT that has had a non turbo engine installed? Has anyone done it and if so what were the problems and fixes? I have one and it seems to run fine but erratic. The idle is lopie but it runs and drives. Should I change the ECM? I have no idea if the one who did the swap did that. Anyway could you tell me where to look or give me some suggestions on smoothing the idle out? It's only a temp car till I get my Mazda truck running again but it is a pretty nice car and I missed my 90 GT so I picked this one up as a driver. It may be for sale soon to in the Portland Oregon area...

it sounds to me like you have a vacumm issue. the turbo and non turbo engine has a different vacumm diagram and its easy to mess up what vacumm line goes were. also there is this stupid vacumm line on my car that has been giving me alot of trouble. its right under the throtle plates. and its real hard to see
