I wasnt allowed to have shit when i went to basic training..
Best bet is to have her go with just the clothes on her back,,trust me,,it will make it easier for her when they give her all her gear,,its alot less for her to carry around,,and they expect you to move like lightning.
So give her a few orgasims for christmas,,as it will be awhile before she gets to ride the pony again.....

Two things come to mind. If she doesn't already have them. One, a good pair of running shoes. Two, a leatherman.

Get her a real watch, a man's fullsize one, with all the settings and gadgets. I know it's not very womanly, but in boot camp, she'll love that watch. That or a necklace or something, they'll at least let her have something small like that, granted it may be locked away on her footlocker for the whole six months or whatever, but at least it'll be there.

I'd have to agree with Stacy. My neice just went not to long ago. And they did a lot of running around. Oh and that watch, or necklace ideas were pretty good too. I can't really give you my point of view, because I went to Marine Corps boot camp and we could have shit. But once she get an address you can send some other stuff. Like cough drops(it's like candy in disguise), powerbars(it's like cupcakes sorta), and anything else that is healthy that has a sweet taste and won't be considered candy. Stuff like that will satisfy her sweet tooth.

165,000 miles on the original clutch and still going strong
But the will confiscate the leatherman upon arrival...
I agree, the less she has with her, at the start, the easier it will be. Couple of options:
1) Pre-Write letters to her, offering nothing but support and love, as she will feel very lonely at times.
2) Photos are fine
3) Running Shoes....invest a lot of money in sturdy shoes
4) Take her somewhere, spend quality time at a place she loves, in lieu of gifts
Just remind her that as bad as Basic Training (*army prefers not to have "boot" camp), gets, it will be over soon...and she'll be unstoppable upon completion..

Your right, I should have said after bootcamp get/give her the leatherman.
