I have a 96 GT and the starting is just spinning. I want to get it started. Can I just push it shove it in first and pop the clutch with the ignition on? Or how do I do it?

It's best and easiest if you have someone to push you, so you can work the clutch.
Don't use first, use maybe 2sd. or 3rd. (I would use 3rd)
turn key to on,
put tranny in 2sd or 3rd,
hold clutch in, while someone pushes your car
let your foot off the clutch and immediately press clutch back in (so it doesn't stall)

As long as the vehicle normally starts easily, it should start right up.
