Is it possible to turn off or limit the number of times the door open alarm goes off. 5 times or so would be ok but if your working with the door open (such as cleaning the interior) it just doesn't give up. Hoping you can turn it off otherwise I'll hunt that little speaker down & insert a well aimed screwdriver :)

Just keep the car key out of the ignition switch while cleaning it and the door alarm won't go off.

Aussie version may be wired differently as the bell/alarm goes off (and stays on) even when the key's not in the ignition.

Mine does not DING DING DING when the key is out of the ignition with the door open it only does it when the door is open with the key in the ign or the lights are left on
It use to when the Nokia phone (CARK91) kit was installed as the bright tech (sarchasm there) picked up the constant power from ignition switch wire and when the phone was in the cradle and turned on it would DING DING DING but I relocated the constant power wire that to another constant power source and that shut it up.

dude ur like me, thats what I do when they get annoying, get a screw driver and destroy the whole thing, that would make u happy, they r so annoying

Hold your finger on the door switch while you're cleaning? :-)

If the switch is in the front part of the door opening, you could jam a rag or polystyrene faom against it to keep it closed.
