I was wondering if anybody knows if the power mirrors on 97 Probes were used on other year Probes. My passenger side mirror is broken up inside and really needs replacement, but most Probes that I have found have a different mirror that is fixed in place. The ones on my car are "break away" (and it sure is broke! lol) and are hinged to move if bumped into. Thanks!

Well, I can tell you right now that my 97 definately does not have break away hinged door mirrors...

I can back that up as well! I thought that they did at first, and then I almost snapped one off......

A word to the wise.......

One thing I have figured out about my car (97 base) is that it is in a WORLD of it's own. there are ALOT of internal parts in the 97 base that was different from that of a 93-96 base.

You really wouldn't think so, but ever since day one of upgrading my car, I learned that 97 is all by itself.......eveything cost more (Cruise Control, ecu, etc...). the 97 also has different size speakers them 93-96. It has 5 1/4 all around.....

I would think that 97 MIGHT have the same mirrors, but no gaurantee

i would also like to know about those mirrors. i needed one replaced about a year ago, and ordered one off the internet. it ended up looking different from the one on my car. i have a 95 SE. what year did they change or are the gt's or bases just different? what is the deal here?

you can use a mirror from a '95, '96, or of coarse another '97. they are all the same. the '93-'94's have the slightly larger, heated, no break away mirrors.

I'd like to find 2 trashed '93-'94 mirrors and get the heating pads outta them to put in my mirrors. one day.

shouldnt hurt to throw on some mirrors from a 93-96 try it . they should fit right up.
