I have a 93 SE Probe and today the fuel shut off light came on and then the check engine light came on and the next thing the engine shut off, waited a while tried it , and it did the same thing. Seem like everything was getting dimmer before it shut down, tried to start, engine would not turn over, waited a few minutes engine turned over and it started up , and did the same thing over and over. Any suggestions on where to start?

Did you reset the fuel cut off switch button before restarting the car ?

Thank you for the reply, it was cold and snowy last night when the problem occured, turned out to be a broken alternator belt, replaced it with a gatorback and now its running perfect.
