headlight headache

juss pulled in the driveway and had a burnt out headlight. everything was fine till i figured out it was a sealed beam. has anyone ever taken one of these apart and retrofitted regular bulbs? would it be practical? i cant source the unit around here

Hi, back in my days a sealed beam was a regular bulb; Converting it would be nice, but I'm sure a sealed beam would cost a lot less.
