Before i got my pitbull i had a champion bred english setter...she kept getting these tumors on her and we kept having them removed, until one day when she got one right below her bladder the size of a nerf football. i couldnt stand to see her in any more pain so i put her to sleep.....hardest day of my life.....still makes me cry to think about it...isnt it funny how important your pets become to you?? I spent thousands of dollars on that dog with surgery and things.....it was worth the money though.....hope things work out......keep me informed........

Sorry to hear it.....those friggin' pure bred dogs!!!! My English cocker developed tumors like progeGTgirlie's ..same results..gone. We now have another pure bred..a MinPin and a Heinz 57 whatever....I'm always checking and feeling the little MinPin for any signs of irregular bumps etc. She's only 5 and I feel like we've had her for 20. The little mixed breed is 15 and healthy as a horse!! Absolutely the lowest maintainence dog I've ever encountered. She is a little long of tooth now and I guess I need to prepare for the inevitable.

Hope there is some remedy for Dobie...his frame is very clean, good eyes, nice posture.

well thank you all for your simpathy.
He went back to the vets and they found out what was wrong with him, he had a baterial infection. The damn dogs take more medican then I do. The female is alergic to beef too.
Pure breeds have more dieases because of inbreeding, with mixes the genes are given more of a chance to combine to make better genes to fight diseases. I had a lab husky mix that was 20.
