I Own a Probe

Hey All I just bought a 94 Probe Se for 100 dollars. Some girl was selling just to get rid of it. I bought it for a tinkering toy since I love to work on cars.


My first question is this:


The 4th plug position, when I put the socket and extention in to remove the plug, it seems to be blocked by something. When I flash light it I see a gasket like material along the perimeter/wall of the valve cover. But not up where the valve cover it, looks like its deep enough to be considered down by the head.


My guess is the head gasket expanded past into the spark plug hole.


What do you guys think?

Valve Cover after an hours worth of cleaning the gunk and grime off. It had been burnt on and cake baked! I thought I got a before pic....but I guess not.

Oh But of course, we can't forget the time Liz(My Wife) decided to snap some paparazzi shots as Joe and I trouble shoot the Probe. As we like to call "Probing the Probe". We went around the block to figure out why its cutting out.
