1.Turn your car on, let it idle until fans come on.
2.Shut off the car.
3. Loosen the two phillips screws on the TPS (little black thing on Throttle Body)
I recommend using a socket, because the screws are fragil.
4 .Jump the ten-gnd connector in the diagnostic box.
5. Slighty move the tps left and right until you hear the fans come on, the fans will come on at a certain point (the fans may already be on; towards the left will turn them off and to the right will turn them on)
6. Adjust the tps to the most extended point (as far as it can go) before the fans turn on again. I repeat, move the tps to the furthest point BEFORE the fans come on. Tighten it at that point.

Easy
2.Shut off the car.
Since when do you do this? You don't shut it off. This is done while it's running.
Rick's site has the best directions for this. I used his when I did it. Worked perfectly. But I don't remember the link.
Doug, have you tried adjusting the idle screw yet? Adjusting my TPS didn't affect the idle at all when I did mine. It made te car feel a little more responsive. Just adjusting the screw fixed my idle.
