Key stuck in the ignition

Okay, here's the deal. When I turn the car off, the key doesnít turn all the way and I canít get the key out. The only way for me to get the key out is for me to push the shifter with my left hand and turn the key all the way with my right hand. What could be wrong?

If the shifter uses a cable it may be getting jammed. Or a linkage may be out of adjustment. Assuming you have a Auto.

How would I fix that. Just crack it open and tighten things up.

Unfortunally if the cable is going bad it will need to be replaced :(

Assuming that is the problem. Take the trim off and see if there are any adjustments on the shifter lever, but I don't think so .
