I've tried it for what a day or two now.

I mean some real senseless BS passes through there. Now I understand there are many of you that are friends and what not and care to share your ever so detrimental news of (whaetver), but keep in mind the other list subscribers that don't want to go to an inbox that has some 30+ pointless emails.

I alternatetively suggest to integrate a UBB into SCPOC's main website as oppossed to bumming it here. While it IS cool and all, this along with PT just doesn't seem to cut it like other message forums.

Is this such a bad thing?

i agree with gil.

this is damon, using gil's computer to respond.

i've thought of putting up a message board for the club, but that kind of defeats the purpose of this board.

our club does not have a forum on PT, nor will it anytime in the near future. as gil mentioned, you can set the mail to daily digest, or just view it from the yahoo site and only look at the messages that appeal to you.

the thing with SCPOC is the fact that i want it to be a friendly, family-type atmosphere. it's something that is very important to me, because it tends to make newbies feel more at ease.

that is my final answer, for now. if i gain the time necessary to properly establish and moderate such a board, then i will revisit my decision in the future. until then, scpoc.com will NOT have a bulletin board.

this board and the mailing list serve the club's needs adequately. when they stop serving our needs, then i will explore other possibilities.

thanks for the idea. it was something i had originally planned for the club site before the advent of probetalk and fordforums.

Hi, I'm Stacey the SCPOC Official Cheerleader.

I understand your concern and I also had problems with so many junk e-mails showing up on my computer. I also harp on these lazy guys to change the subject heading if they go off topic, it is a pain in the ass when you are searching for an answere on a topic and its spread out among all the other topics.

So I created the SCPOC News Letter explicitly for the list. It is in Html format and is very different from the hords of other e-mails. The SCPOC News Letter is a quick way to get the latest goings on with the club on a more official platform. :)

The SCPOC News Letter will also carry a Vol no. and Issue No. so if you are scanning the e-mails by [subject heading] you can tell which News Letters are the latest.

The Use of Ford forums is for thoes that are not excited by our list or people who are not apart of SCPOC who are looking for information.

I hope this helps, it can be fustrating at times and its going to get better.
