Hi I will probably be buying a Probe in the next little while so I'd like to know what the best year (or years) would be good for Customizing. I'd like to put a turbo in it (and remember, I'm not a Car guy so if there are other things I need with the turbo, please tell me) And I'd like to get around 250-300hp (if possibe)
I don't have a never-ending buget so I would also like to know of some cheaper parts that I would need to get in order to reach my horsepower goal.
I've heard that the GT's (with the V6) are best to get If you want to put a turbo in it.

defiantly a 93 to 97 gt or gts because even though an se would be capable of that kind of power you would have to put alot more time and money into it i have a 94 se 4 cyl with 280 hp i have put over 6g's into the motor alone with a gt you could buy a turbo kit and a boost controller and be able to hit those numbers as long as you do it right without any internal mods

Buy an 89' GT, came with Turbo's already out of the factory doors.
Buy a probinator chip and put on a boost controller, aftermarket, boost/vacuum gauge, and you got it made.
