My friend drives a 1993 Ford Probe GT, and fills it with Premium. I fear he may be doing damage to his car. I know that if you use to much higher than the recomended octane you will get less gas mileage and damage your catalytic converter. I also think he is wasting money. So whats the recommended octane?
Here is Oz our Probe runs much better on Premium than on standard ULP. Smoother, quicker response & better economy. NB. Our octane ratings are different to the US!
well, since it says right on the inside of the gas door on my 93GT, that the manufacture recommeds PREMIUM, i'd guess that it probly runs better on that .
