Neither - they will both perform very similarly. It all depends on which one looks better to you.

Gerry Sica (owner of PRM) runs mid-high 13's with a PRM intake - I have run low 13s with a Hotshot and a Home made intake - so they all flow very similarly...

This has been discussed ad nausea on other boards/mailing lists, and the general consensus is that it's more of an aesthetic choice rather than a performance one.

prm due to the filter that it has,, it wont suck up as much water,, from what ive heard..

I have kind of an odd question, how far down does the PRM downpipe go? How much room is there between it an the splash guard?

I'm thinking of putting together a bastardized Hotshot/PRM/AEM setup (Hotshot warm air elbow--mostly cosmetic--AEM bypass, PRM CAI) then setting up some kind of scoop at the bottom of the PRM.

you can "make" your own PRM using a Ractive filter, and some PVC

Yeah, but I don't like the aesthetics of ABS/PVC pipe. I've also found a site that sells pieces of 3" tubing & silicone connectors for a DIY intake. I'm looking at that option also--it gives me the aesthetics I prefer & avoids the problems I have with the Hotshot setup.

Where can I get the Ractive filter? Part number? I missed that somewhere.

I like the PRM better... In the event of rain you just remove the downpipe and you have a hotair intake, but no chance of water ingestion.

Do you have contact information for them? I'm looking for silicone connectors in racing blue and all I've been able to find is that purple/lavender or red color.
