probe engine options??

well kinda looking to buy a probe "GT?" what exactly besides the engine is different?
what can i "cram" in this for an engine? how about a 3.0liter dohc yamaha from a taurus SHO? or should i just pressurize it or just run it at~10% nitromethhane or nitropropane
will i need to swap the sho tranny too? will it even fit in the compartment

fast is good deadly fast is better

trying to ignore its a mazda was it built/assembled on US soil anyway?

gonna look for one CHEAP that needs a rebuild otherwise fine and build something to get into trouble with and have some fun in the process

well just trying to explore the chance

What's the year and models your looking at. Only the 2 generation Probe was made in the US, the 1st gen was made in Japan. I don't belive the SHO motor and tranny will fit in the probe. It would be cool if it could. Engines that came in the 1st gen Probe "88-92" was the 2.2L "I-4" GL model, LX had the 3.0L Vulcan V-6, the GT had a 2.2L turbo. 2 gen "93-97" had a 2.0L "I-4" in the base and SE model, GT had a 2.5L V-6. The only engine option that I know of "this is for the 2gen GT". Is the 2.5L KL-ZE from Japan, If memory serves me right it has 197hp.You can order one from an engine import dealer. You can have a turbo put on but it has to have a low psi number or the engine will blow. NO2 is a good choice to go with, but that depends on the mileage of the motor.

Believe me if you turbo the V6 run LOW boost [8 Lp MAX] as the rods are as weak as p!ss...I'll have some pics soon of a blown low-ish comp KL-ze engine 200 kw @ wheels 15 Lp boost..Too much boost...You just can't tell some people !!!!!
