That sounds like a good deal. If the owners changed the oil when they were supposed to, I would think that the Turbo is ok, even if it is bad you can get replacements, or better yet an upgrade turbo. Ways to go fast include installing a boost controller, a blowoff valve, intake, exhaust system, etc.. the Turbo Probe responds very well to modifications! Every PSI you add to the turbo gives you about an extra 10 horses on the stock turbo... some people swap the stock turbos out for hybrid turbos, wrx turbos, or others.. It's very easy to get 200 wheel horsepower out of those cars with very little money. Also, you can drop a Mazda FE3 engine right into the first generation Probe, they are tough as hell, one guy from Orlando is pushing over 400 horses to the wheels with pump gas.. he's hoping to reach near 600 with a higher psi on his turbo and race gas.. the potential of the Turbo Probe is greater than any other Probe..
Most people like the looks of the Probe, but there are kits available for them.. check out Aeroform, also Andy's Auto will be making kits for them soon as well.. I think Xenon even has a couple of kits for them..
I say buy it!
