The OBD-II scanning software, decoder and cable are availabe from
www.obd-2.com for $122. You can use it with your home computer, or if you have a laptop, you can actually drive with it and datalog under various driving conditions for analysis of MAF, Fuel Trim, O2 sensor, and other signals.
Another advantage, if you get a CEL, you can reset the fault tables to get rid of the CEL, but retain the calibrations your PCM has stored (unlike disconnecting the battery).
