lol, i kinda broke it. Its under the stupid intake manifold
and a hose goes to it... and stuff... ok let me describe it

a hose starts from the intake manifold, goes under the 3 inner tubes, and into an airbox. then it goes from that airbox into another, and then from that airbox to something else i dunno. well, i broke off both the tips on one of the airboxes that the hose connects to. DAMMIT. What is it? and do i have to buy a new one? its definitely very cheap plastic, i could probably just use one of the airboxes instead...

WTF is it for anyway?

Oh Oh! Those are vaccum boxes! And necessary for the vaccum lines. Or you have a crappy idle. Take the thinnest piece of a retractable antenna or something similar and poke it in thru the holes. Seal it around the hole with some glue. And connect the hoses to these pieces.

dammit, the box itself is cracked, and i didnt care at the time cuz i thought i could just bypass it, #Q%E^#%^@#$^@#$^, i basically need to make it airtight again... can i just order a new one from somewhere?

You could probable get one from a Mazda dealer.

Try sealing it up with RTV. Worked for us when we fixed a fellow SOPOCer's car.

RTV is a sealant (like a gasket sealant) and available in any autozone or parts stores

And its a dealer only part available from a Mazda dealer. Dont go to Ford. I broke mine and the antenna thing worked. Which is why i'm suggesting it.

Yea, but I broke both sides of the airbox, lol. And The guy at the autostore cracked it to see what was inside. I guess i could still put it back together, but why cant i just use one box instead of the two? and what is that filter thing on the other hose?

Ford cracked mine once... not sure how much it cost, but it definitely does mess up your idle.
