Hmmm...let's see.

I think it should have had a 3.2L V6, low compression (8.5:1), rear wheel drive, double wish bone suspension. Turbocharged, of course.

252 hp @ 4,200rpm, 273 ft/lb @ 2,900rpm. Redline @7k (where it is now).

Stock wheels: Front 235/45/17 Cobra R style wheels, rear 265/40/18.

4-wheel ABS.

12.5" brake disks front with vented rotors, 11.5 rear.

Flared fenders (almost wide-body)

Improve interior panels quality

Bose factory sound system

3,100lb curb weight

0-60mph 4.72 seconds.

Standing 1/4 mile: 13.6 @ 104 mph.

Lateral grip: 0.93g

Top speed: electronically limited @ 145mph.

Gear box - sequential 6-speed.

I think that almost covers it :D

hehehe....I just realized the 1/4 mile time is a little quick for only 252hp and 3100lb....:D with my power numbers 1/4 would be in the 14.1 range, traps at about 98-100.

This would be priced in the mid 30s I would guess...whatever the WRX range is nowadays. But better pay $32k for this than for an SUV :D

Why limited to 145?

Rear wheel drive? 3.2 liter? You've been hangin out with those muscle car guys at Sacraceway too much :)

My concotion would be more like:
Mid engine AWD two seater
2.5 liter 20 valve 4cyl
with sequential turbo's
Red line 'bout 8K
peaking 'bout 6500
with 250ish HP
and a normal 6 speed.

I agree, real good sound system and much better interior quality.
But I'd also want the wieght to be not more than 2800. With just the 4 cy I think thats doable.
I'd go for some stock swirlies but in 17 inch's with 235/50's.

Of course, seeing how things ended up with the probe that was built, if they would have built a turbo one there would have been a non turbo base one too - and I probley would have ended up with that one. And I'd be trying my best to convince everyone that one is superior :)

sounds good but thats not realistic...if you wanted a copany to produce the Probe again it would have to be more realistic...heres my Idea.
Full carbonfiber body, integrated rolcage, 2.7L V6, 8.5:1 compression to suport the boost of the huge T4 turbo. Built up botem end to suport super high boost. And a built in nos bottle to help the huge turbo spool up and then shuts off automaticly once boost gets to the designated levels.AWD to get the power to the ground. Suspension so stiff you can hardly see out the windsheild. 1.5 inches off the ground with duel exhaust to get all those spent fumes out. And 18"'s all around with 255/45/18.
So thats my plan. Give me a month and a half and I'll have that done

I was writing that after I rode in my buddy's 92 Talon TSi again...and he beat a 99 'Vette....AWD turbo is the shiznit!
