Why is it that FORD can produce killer concept cars, but always feel they just have to dumb them down and ugly them up for the production version?

This car gives credit to ford aus, ford aus can make the BA with limited money and resources, and ford US still turns out stuff like this with all the money, and resources. Ford US is going down the gurgle, maybe they could take a few pointers from ford aus.

I hated Retro, but when I saw the concept about a year back I thought it was the best looking Mustang ever. How they can go from that to this ugly piece of s*** I don't know.
