It would be heaps if you couldnt do it yourself. 2 heads and not overhead cam would make it a fair job, you would have to take out the radiator and remove the bumper to get the cam out.
Give me an I6 anyday.

There would be a bit of stuff around for the Commodore V6's, they are the engine in Formula Holden/4000. Back when they started the off-the-shelf Perkins Engineering engines had over 300hp, don't know what they're making now.

well my mate has a VN that from memory only has extractors, zorts, cai, 3.45 lsd, bigger TB and thats about it. Ran 15.13 friday night, it has some balls dont worry.

come this sunday and next weeks dyno tune its off to willowbank to see if i can crack the 14 sec barrier in the lowlane, i was a consistant 15.5 qtr at willowbank prior to mods which inc: - Porting and polishing (head now flows 330hp) up from 261hp custom AU BILLET cam ground to suit porting, 30thou shaven off the head new valve retainers, custom HD titanum valve springs, HP4 chiptorque reprogramable chip:) dam it better impress me for the $$$$ spent

now to improve the 3.23 diff and lsd situation then id be cooking

unr8d your car is 3.23 single spinner? I'd say whack some 3.73 and LSD and you will be laughing. Although that would be expensive. Much chepaer to find a second hand el xr6 diff.
