1929 Model A replica

My Uncle in thinking about buying a 1929 Model A replica with cortina running gear. Apparently 5000 were made, well so he was told.

Asking price is $20K Question is, is it really worth it, even in mint condition?

Also does anyone else know about these replicas and know where I can find some info on the net?

Cheers

Remember, a replica of anything isn't worth as much as an original. What sort of prices are real one pulling?

Re: 1929 Model A replica

i wouldnt go near it. its not gen and why would there be 5000 made? if it aint real then dont be paying real prices. also if it has cortina running gear then what else isnt 'real'? waste of money, go buy something worth 20k.

Re: 1929 Model A replica

My dad is restoring two Model A's at the moment, I'd save up and go for an original...

Have a look here, they are located just around the corner from home so if you need any info just let us know I can go & pick it up for you.
All the bodies I believe are in Fibreglass so have a look.

I saw a real shell in absolutely horrid condition (It had flames that were spray painted on with really really cheap aerosol stuff) etc. etc. and it went for about NZ$5k
