biggrin 1989 EA SPAK 3.9mpfi 5spd.. Vs. 97 VS Auto v6

Hi Dudes,

Im gunna have a run with my mates VS commodore, in a few days... will my 89 EA have the guts to put his piece of shit to shame? The VS is stock as a rock and auto, my EA has a 3.9 multipoint6, 2.5in lukey exhaust, jim mock race series headers, jmm leads/plugs, pod filter installed. I have a EL BBM manifold ready to bolt on, just waiting on some more pieces.

Any ideas? :)

A stock VS will run something like a 16.3, while a stock EA 3.9 MPi Falcon S will run a 15.8 in manual form and a mid 16 auto (those 3spds weren't nice). If it's auto, you might run dead even with the VS, or probably a bit faster, with the mods you have. If it's manual, you're going to destroy the VS stock, so with those mods.. have fun kicking some Commodore butt!

Too sweet, i thought so mate (as long as she gets traction bloody wild manual falcons are :)

I read at eafalcon.com that the spak 5spd was the quickest outta factory EA-ED, picked it up for $850 last saturday, had all the mods off my 93 eb series 2, i pranged a few months ago.

I just noticed you said in the topic name its a 5spd and the VS is auto

Yeah, EA 3.9 MPi 5spd = 15.8s stock, VS V6 Auto = 16.3s. You'll kill it, especially with the mods you've got.

If the EA is in good nick, you should flog him. Even if your's was stock. Talking 0-100km/h, 80km/h+ etc. But it's all going to be on a private drag strip, right??

I think you will find the EB XR6 is the quickest out of that lot.
