I'm trying to find out if this series wagon was equipped, at the time of manufacture, to carry in excess of 5 passengers (including the driver).

Or, whether the vehicle was fitted with either a 'bench' seat or a rear facing seat?

Can anyone help me?

I am not sure about EBII wagons, but my uncle & aunty own a column-shift ED wagon coz they have 4 kids.

I'm not sure about bench seats, but I think the front of this ED is two normal bucket seats & a small "insert" seat where the centre console would normally be. The "insert" looked a bit like a rear-seat armrest (it could be folded down when not used... like the inverse to an armrest), but wider & with a lap seatbelt to seat a passenger (obviously not a 6 foot 80kg adult).

You can look into dickie seats too, as you mentioned, but they take up the cargo area :(

i have and EAII fairmont wagon and it has a realy good bench seat. i sat in it around australia and its as good as the middle seat in the back. if not better. i also think it looks newer than having the very dated T-bar in the EA
