i dont think so. saw a post earlier that referred to 2 litres as being milk bottles, which is the size of milk cartons, true, but also the same size of a great engine made by ford.
a well sorted escort will give a lot of cars some thing to think about. i had a 2 litre rally pack and sold it for an xr6....and whilst the xr is quicker in a straight line and more comfortable etc etc etc, it is no way near as much fun to drive.
further, 2 litres is also the same capacity of the cosworth motor that powered the sierra and the latest escort cosworth. whilst i love the sound of a well sorted v8, there is a hell of a lot to be said for a smaller car too. just make the road twisty....
Geez! The days of making jokes are long gone... *shakes head*

Surely you have heard that saying before, it's nothing serious, and I would advise you not to take it so seriously, it's all light hearted humor, and i think this would be a sad place without the humor.
point taken. just new to the board and didnt know if it was a joke or serious.
just years of escort driving have taken the toll...you get to hear a lot of this kind of thing. especially from drivers of holdens.
one of the finest moments (though not the most difficult) was running this 4.2 ss commode away from the lights one day. totally humiliated thsi guy. and the best thing about it....i went to school with this bloke and i hated his guts there too. a real smug prick. and his grandad bought him this car.

Not a prob mate. We give each other a bit of a stir every now and then, but be assured that it's all in good fun and is good natured. No need to get the fangs of defense out on these boards mate! :s6:
