20 BA Falcons Sold In 2 Weeks At Coffs Harbour

Yes Mike Blewitt Ford sold 20 BA's in the 1st 2 weeks.

The factory is issuing stock on the basis of how many AUIII's they were able to move prior to the BA release.

The More they sold the better the allocation.

Blewitts are expecting Turbo XR6 next week.

Have already seen Avis rental BA XT's in town - look great.

The Fairmont is a dream to behold too.

VY looks sad.

And ther'e selling heaps of Focus's too.

Considering some of Melb CBD dealers do b/w 80-120 cars a week, this is a great sales figure for a smaller regional city. Don't forget, cars has been out only a few weeks and if some potential buyers have a lease etc.. so they might need to wait until rollover etc...

Well Ford certainly deserve to do well. They have invested a huge amount of money in an Australian made car - In fact the BA is the first "world class" car built in Australia. It has the technlogy to hold its own against the best from Europe and Japan.

The Focus is also a fantastic import. While the restyled 323 was a real hit in the 80's and early to mid 90's after that it was basicaly downhill as it failed to differentiate on price, styling and performance. For the last few years the Laser has just been a 323 with slighly different styling. The Focus changes all that - the biggest selling car in the world will be at a Ford dealer near you. With an acclaimed chassis, great build quality and good engines it takes the best elements of french, german and japanese engineering.

I do hope they bring the Focus RS to Australia or perhaps something like the 2.0 Zetec but with the St170 engine (but not the price). The Focus could also do with a diet but in comparison to its peers its weight is average but could be better.

80 - 120 per week? Are you serious? Do they actually have that sort of turnover?

Hmmmmm, one Focus:

Two Focuses
Two Focus
Two Foci

does anyone know the 'official' Ford plural for the Focus (Not always *i*, eg. octopuses)?

Well, for one - Octupii is the correct name for more than one octopus ... :)

I'd say your first or second choice would probably be correct :)
