I managed to get some info out of Ford today, who have suggested that the 2003 XR8 will be running the 5.0 ltr 220kw.

Rick you have been told some dodgy information my friend. Unless your dealer thinks current stock are 2003 models there are no more 5 litre units left. We don't know for sure what we will be getting but the strong rumour is a new 5.4 unit from the US

Because ford are out of 5.0 engines except ones earmarked for the T series build and they no longer make them in the USA...

You can bet your house on that there will be no 5.0L Windsar V8s but instead 5.4L V8s

FFS.. If there's a 5.0 Windsor in the '03 XR8 then I WILL buy a SS or Clubbie R8. Now those who know me well enough know that that will never happen... Hence the 5.4 Modular being in Barra.. Hence me purchasing said vehicle..
