still looks like a fridge. the back on the profile shot looks like the rear of the 5 series. once again toyota stealing some designs cues from zee germans.
Looks a Metric Assload(tm) better than the existing Avalon, and although that in itself is no achievement, it certainly looks a hell of a lot more palatable. Sounds like a pretty good engine though, be interesting to see if it makes it into a more interesting chassis like an IS series Lexus.. (IS350 anyone?)
Interior looks a leap ahead too..

if it is then it's a major improvement over the current one. With that said i'd never buy one but if it hopes to keep Holden at bay then this will probably have to sell more than it does now
The Australian Avalon shares very little with the american version, the Camry doesn't either. By the time the australian version went on sale it was already 5 years old an superseded in the US, and i'd imagine the next australian version will be nothing like the US version either.
