hey guys, i kno this isnt exactly relating to tech discussions, but the book i am inquiring about is. its called 21st Century Performance by Julian Edgar (www.autospeed.com Editor) just wondering wether anybody else out there had bought it/read it and do they suggest me buying it? sounds like a great book!!!, just dont wanna fork up 75bucks on a dissapointment!!! thanx guys, cheers

Sadly, even though our good friend *cough* Mr Edgar seems to have a reasonable technical knowledge, any good that can come from it is tainted and diminished by his dogged belief that he is the Messiah of the automotive press.

Money better spent elsewhere, IMO.

Disagree. It's a good book and explains a lot of techo stuff in a easy-to-understand way. Not perfect, has some errors, is a bit opinionated (!) in parts, but not bad entry-level tech, either. Better than trying to learn from your mates at the pub...

Wouldn't matter how good the book is I wouldn't give him a cent of my money.
