Michael ****** became the fouth player in NBA history to score 30,000 points, reaching the milestone for the Washington Wizards against his old team, the Chicago Bulls.
In doing so he helped the Wizards to a hime win against the team his name was once synonymous with.
******, who began Friday's game with 29,985 career points, scored his 15th point of the night bye making the second of two free throws with 5.28 to go in the second quarter, giving the Wizards a 45-31 lead.
The game was halted for about 30 seconds during the next stoppage in play as the sellout crowd gave him the standing ovation.

****** joins Kareem Abdul-Jabber (38,387), Karl Malone (33,654) and Wilt Chamberlain (31,419) as the only players to reach 30,000. ****** scored 29,277 in 13 seasons with the Bulls.
****** scored 19 of his 29 points in the second quarter, and the Washington Wizards nearly blew a 29-point second-half lead before holding on to beat the Bulls 89-83.
