I read in the Herald Sun on friday that AEC were still considering the 300+ Falcon coupe.
Aren't these the same crowd that put a 4.0 ltre Lexus motor in the MX-5 and called it the Bullet? I'm pretty sure they are. I think they should be appluaded for having a go. I know it's likely to be expensive. But its going to go off I reckon. They appear to building a real reputation as a serious tuner like AMG of the 80's.
Not many would be sold to the likes of us mere mortals but not many of us can buy a Ferrari either. That doesn't make it any less desirable. Perhaps more so. A 100 or so people paid over $90000 for the LS1 GTS. Then HSV did the usual pull the rug out from underneath them trick and build the same car for much less.
Any way I reckon the 300+ would sell at a similar rate to the original LS1 GTS. Be a damm site better car though.

Don't really care, so long as its on the market. It will sell. 2 or 4 door, it doesn't really matter.
What a beast, Looks good, feels good, is good!!!!!!!!
This thing HAS to get to the market. Even if is costs +$100k, IT WILL SELL!!.
Make it FORD, Make it Fast, AU's handle and AU's stop.
IT WILL SELL.
Dont dream it, JUST DO IT>!!!!!!!! Whether or not this thing has Geoffs blessing, it has to be available. Come on Hillier.
I somehow feel that if AEC are doing a Falcon Coupe it will be sold under there own company brand, aka CSV.

I don't think Hillier are involved with the AEC Coupe, as they've gone with Roman Autotek to produce a 430kW Coupe of their own (see other thread). Aren't Millard involved with AEC instead? The 300+ Coupe may end up being the Hillier/Autotek Coupe's poorer brother.
The H/A Coupe is rumoured to be about $130K. If you're spending six figures, you'd may as well go the few extra grand and grab the more powerful car. I imagine that not many coach builders can do a better coupe conversion than Hilliers either, having done several already.

Two rival Falcon coupes are coming. Damn hefty price tag though. I'd go for the Hillers one myself if I had to have 2 doors..
