Apparently Ford are releasing a 30th aniversary GT based on the AUIII...It has been published in MOTOR for a while now too. I've just been thinking that maybe all this development by the Hillier boys may be for the resurection of a HO!!!

What do you all think??? Should a GT be released in the AU3 cycle, which is almost dead, or will it be for AV??

well I would have initially thought it would be released in the AU, due to the 5 years being up and time for a new one, but since it is rumoured that the GT will be brough back as a regular, maybe they will wait for the AV.

I dont care either way, I would love to see an AU GT, as long as it keeps coming with every model.

Well, I don't really think so. I reckon the T3 is the last thing they will do with the AU (except maybe special bodykit runs). They would probably wait for the AV, as this would probably get more publicity for the new model.

Anyway, thats what I think ;D

Wouldn't it be a 35th aniversary GT since the XR GT came out in 1967 or are you talking about a 30th anivesary GTHO.

Where did you hear that they ARE going to release this beast and when, as they don't have that much time left before the AV comes out.

I don't imagine them spending anymore on the windsor but i think we will see the GT & HO come back with Barra

In the car pipeline at the back of MOTOR mag. It says 30th Aniversary to be based on AU3.

I do agree that it would be best if it was in the AV cycle, new engines, trannies etc. I think MOTOR have stuffed up.

I think it's a misprint can't have 2, 30th anniversary Falcons.

True, it most definitly has to be 35th Anniversary GT falcon. Would have to be released sometime in 2002 to keep the tradition.

I think what they mean is that Ford want to bring back the HO 30 Years after it was canned.

So I don't think we will see a HO till 2003 anyway.
