I'm excited - has been accepted by Procar as an offical entry to be raced by Peter Floyd who won Bathurst.
here are some details
Yes the Monaro has been accepted by Procar after much lobbying which started back at the LeMans race in Adelaide but the real headway was made while I was in Germany with Ross at the Nurburgring 24hr, he just couldn’t get away from me.
The specifications are still being finalised but hear is a brief summary:
My preferred engine is the Callaway C12R which is a LS1 block that has been stroked to 6.8lt with 400+kw (+ is top secret) however there are some other options available. Holinger six speed sequential gearbox. Harrop Brakes.
Harrop 9in magnesium diff.
10in wheel rims
Kevlar front guards, boot and bonnet. Front splitter, side skirts and rear spooler. There will be four Monaro’s with one or two being driven by recognised level one drivers (no I can’t say who they are likely to be as yet).

So how is it supposed to compete (fairly) against a 400kw Monaro?:(:fmad:

Falchoon, the Monaro will be up against the Ferrari's, Porches and the Diablo, whereas the PHR mustang is against the EVO's the WRX's and the 300kw GTS etc...
This is because they have split the GTP series up into 2 or 3 different categories this year
