what is the deal with the new 50 kph speed limit in NSW that is starting in november.
where is being enforced and exactly when
surely this cant be happening, im going to go crazy sitin on 50

I thought the 50kph was only for residential areas, and is in place in a number of back streets in NSW already.

Its basically being applied to any streets not marked another speed limit. This will mean more or less all residential and non-main roads will become 50 . . .

Its not as (quite) bad as it sounds, since they reckon about 80% of councils already run 50 zones ( I know hornsby and most of the north shore does ). . .

I Live in QLD and they have had that here for a few years now. at first the cops gave us a break and pulled you over and said "well i could book you but i wont". now everyone tries to stick to it. oh wait, 90 in a 50 zone, oops...........

We have had this in Vic for a little while now, and just this week they have now made it in the shopping precinct,it is so confussing from my house I travel on the main drag into town which is 60 then hit a shopping district(50) this goes for about 50 mtr's then back to 60 and then into 50 for another 50 or so metre's then back to 60 and once more back to 50 in town, it is so BLOODY stupid and I drive a small truck for a living traveling on these road's and It labour's in 4th on 50 so it's 4th,3rd,4th,3rd,4th,3rd at the end of the day my leg ache's so much from changing gears all day(although the truck is so gutless)I really have had enough of this political bureaucrat BULLSHIT.
