LS7 is to be on Z06 vette next year. This is getting crazy!

This is GM's strategy, they have chosen to go down the bigger is better path, but at the same time these huge capacity engines will feature DOD... so efficiency can be retained.

Just a philosophy that they want to stick with.

Well this thread was a big dissapointment. I was expecting to see info on the VZ HSV GTS, not a repeat of the same thing that's been talked about for the last 6 months+.

I don't know if that was started before in another thread, these news shocked me when I opened carpoint website today!

I hope these new engines are as horrible as the LS1s.:)

The news of the LS7 has been around for ages. Plenty of roumours for it. My favourite is the introduction of DBC. DBC = Double in-Block Camshaft. Two cams in the block, either 1 inlet 1 exhaust or 1 per cylinder bank. Love to see that one. Either way, expect to see a 500hp+ C6 Z06 (or as some think, Z07, due to the new engine name) coming to a Chevy dealer near you in 2005.

well ill be waiting to have that confirmed by car and driver first since they have detailed reviews and inside info on upcoming models in the U.S
