Just when you thought the 7 speed auto in some Mercedes models didn't have enough gears, Lexus have unvealed the new LS with an 8 speed. When will it end.

Wow that is alot of gears to play with. I'm guessing it would be difficult to even feel a gear change with gears spaced so closely so it would be as smooth as silk. Interesting though you would wonder if it is needed.

8 speeds?? This reminds me of when I was a kid on bikes. First there was no gears on the BMX's, them 3, then 4 then 10 speed Racers etc...

I guess all in the name of fuel economy and possibly bragging rights.??

lol my pushy has 21 gears and its nearly 10 years old. they proberly have 40 speeders now.

a race to see who can fit the most gears in a box.
