94 EF Ghia, tickford engine?

Hey guy's, im curious is my EF Ghia tickford or standard engine? I hav a 94 model built in september, i think it was only the EF2 series Ghia that had the tickford engine & i think mine would be the EF1. Anyone know??
Cheers, Brendan.

Does it have Tickford badges on the engine rocker cover or the inlet tubing?
I am not 100% but I didn't think that they were brought in later, but that the Tickford engine was an option that you could order.

Re: 94 EF Ghia, tickford engine?

I think yours would be an EF1 and probably doesnt have the tickford engine. If it has a red rocker cover and tickford wings on the front of the head it is a Tickford motor but if it has a Grey cover and no tickford wings its a normal.

Dont discount the possibility that Ford may have introduced some Series II features slightly ahead of release date.

The best way to find out would be a very obvious Red Rocker Cover, and a 'T' stamped into the front of the block.

Re: 94 EF Ghia, tickford engine?

A EF '94 in september was one of the very first EF's so theres no way they might have tested a series 2 xr6 motor, im sorry but shes a stockie...

Re: 94 EF Ghia, tickford engine?

Ah, youre right Super, i thought it was Sep 95 and seeing as EF2 Started Oct 95 i thought it might have been possible.

But Sep 94 Build = no chance of Tickford engine.
