Had my very last exam today, it was piss easy. I know have 2 and a half weeks holiday, going down the Gold Coast on monday for 4 days, doing a bit of work on the car and attending a few Fordforum cruises.
I start full time work on 24th November with a firm I did my work experience with. I had been working at Bunnings casually for 6 years since grade 10 and had my last day there last sunday!
I am know a free man with a career path!!
Just wanted to share my enthusiasm with you all. Look forward to going on some cruises.
Don't pay attention to Night_Lurker, work may be hard, but at least it's only 9-5. It doesn't stay with u, and F#&K with ur mind, take up every waking moment and confuse u, with the never ending lectures, assignments, labs, exams and....... Sorry, I've just ended a sleep deprived week, and started an exam cramming week.
Enjoy the freedom, u lucky bastard! You've earned it. And best of all, this is when it all pays off $$$$$$
CONGRATS and see you on that fordforums cruise.*winks*.

Fordy: I studied a Bachelor of Surveying, I have 2 years experience as a chainman and some party leading, I will be spending 3 months being brought up to speed at my new job and then i get a company car and more responsibility.
I'll be doing mostly cadastral surveying, idents, setouts, DTMs, Building Format Plans etc and some engineering surveying later on. My boss is a real champ and has expressed interest in paying for me to get Licensed like he is so I can consult and earn more money. But that is 5 years away, but nice to know I have the opertunity.
Night_Lurker: Its funny you mention that, I am thinking of doing a planning degree to go with the surveying one, makes for a killer combo with development.
EFJase: Yeah mate, I will miss the pub, our social club won the VB beer drinking competition, and we had $500 left on a $1500 bar tab prize at the pub to finish last night. I'll miss $3 jugs of Stella thats for sure!!
Don't worry about 4 years man, time flies, expecially when you start working in the field you study.
Cancerman: I know how you feel, but at the same time I'll miss it. In the same strange way I missed grade 12....
