Well, im gonna have a mini rant here. Im after some rims for my EL Fairmont, and ive decided on EL GT's in champaign. 1st port of call was Ford. For $678+caps+GST+tyres it gave me a lighthearted chuckle. Next port of call was looking at eastern states tyre places. Many are advertised with 1/2 used tyres for $1190, and with remoulds for $1390. So i ring 2 places in Adelaide that stock them. One Place, $300/rim+tyres, another place $350/rim+tyres.
This has got me furious. It is cheaper for me to buy the rims in the easternstates and get them freighted over than it is to buy them localy!! Pathetic really.
/end daily rant

Hey, they are arguably the best looking wheels for E series cars around, so its probably goin to be hard to find them at a price you wish to pay, but hey, you just never know.

If it is any help Maughn Thiem on Port road have a set in champagne but I am guessing they would be priced through the roof. Also black diamond auto wreckers had a set a few months ago, maybe try them if you haven't already?
There is huge mark up in tyres and rims, so if you shop around you should find them a lot cheaper than $2k. You will always pay a bit more down here due to freight but it shouldn't be that much.
