In the centrefold it's got the Blue BA and in the part that points to the headlights it says:

"Nose lifted by 30mm and dominated by bold twin-element headlights - chrome finish on Futura and Fairmont, black finish on Forte and Fairmont Ghia."

SO they are saying that the Forte will get the neat headlights that everyone's keen on?

Of course it's probably an error because I can't see Ford mixing up the lineup like that but interesting all the same...

Either way I think it depends on what type of grill's the Forte and Fairmont will wear.

They all get quad headlights, but only upmarket models get the BMW-style black headlight surrounds.

Well that's good news for me, I was hoping to trade the AU2 in for a Barra Forte - and those black headlights sure look horn

I totaly agree, how frustrating is it the way they take cheap shots. Its never "This looks like a falcon"

It always ends up being, "This falcon looks like a..." yet when the comodore was released (VT) It was all "new" etc etc. Even when they kept the same front grill and light setup for what seems like decades... Yet no one bad mouthed it.

I notice Drive do this allot, whats the bet they all have Holden company cars.
Just know that Motor are probably the leaste biased (in my opinion) out of them all, if you want a half fair read then i think Motor are the way to go.

they give them both a fair shot, rather than a pre-biased "opinion" - which is the same thing that drive do. always with the short stabs at ford ....

.. even the article in todays drive has stabs throughout the entire spread - and that little time line on the right hand side... grr! with every SINGLE little detail that went wrong with the AU...:dead:
