ok as some might know ive had an oil issue hat kept me away from the cruise. I thought it was coming from the front of the rocker cover gasket, but I cleaned that up and gave it a bit of a rev; but alas no oil leaking from there.

Then my house mate comes up to me yesterday and says "did you know your car is shooting out oil". Obviously I am like, WTF, so I look at his bumper (he was parked behind me) and sure enough oil splatters all over the front :/

I have also notice that oil "seems" to be smouldering from under the exhuast heat shield somewhere.

So does anyone know whats going on? Its leaking, from where im not sure, AND small amounts of oil are shooting out the back. Is this terminal? Or is it some kind of gasket dead somewhere?

Im going to ask some local garages but I wanted your opinion first.

I wish I had never touched that stupid cover now...lol

if you havn't already clean up all of the visible spots on the engine.. get right under the car and do this as well. then drive around for a while and then check if you can see any new oil coming from everywhere. shouldn't be too hard to find if its leaking enough to have oil shooting out the back.
