Ok so heres a quick snap shot of the last month and a half.
1 13/07/02 Telstar TX5 get's stolen the night after I propose to my girlfriend.
2 17/07/02 Car found and sent to crash place for repairs.
3 Car sits there for 3 weeks and then the asessor calls me up and writes the car off requesting that I bring in proof of purchace to the insurance company to get my check for the car.
4 The next day (last tues) hand all the stuff in. Told that pending a security check I'm laughing and I'll have the money on Mon/Tue next week.
5 call the next day to confirm that the security check has been done and I'm told yep it's comming your way.
6 Call today to get an eta on my money and I'm told that there waiting of approval from your finance company.........????????
WHAT THE **** ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT I PAID FOR THE CAR CASH!!!
We'll it failed the security check and a company (can't remember the name I was in a fit of rage) has money owing on or a loan on the Telstar. Mean while I've put a deposit down on the EA S I posted earlier.
Called the dude I'm buying from and he's cool about it and will wait for me to get the cash together.
I'm getting a call tommorrow to find out what's going on.
Hopefully it's something that can be cleared up quickly but the chick said it will take time.
NOT ****ING HAPPY JAN!!!
Sorry about the swearing guys.
Ohhh thats ****en bullshit! They better fregen pay up! I feel for you.. I'ld hate to be in a position like that.. I'ld go crazy and resort to violence! lol
Congradulations is in order, though!!! Proposing to your girlfriend!! Goon Onya! Have you set a date?
yeah she said yes.
Our engagement party is at the begining of October but were going to get a good deposit for a house before getting married.
That's the whole reason this pisses me off so much is because if I get screwed and loose my money it puts me 3 months further away from my house!
The main problem is that the previous owner of the Telstar had one of three things either he got a loan to buy it and never paid it out. Used it a colateral for a loan of some kind or has paid it off and the bank didn't remove the security check.
1 out of 3 of these things means I'm stuffed.
The insurance company are going to call the bank and find out what is going on tommorrow.
I mean really the bank should simply go after the person that sold the car but I think they could ultimatly take the money from the insurance company instead and leave it up to me to sue the previous owner. Problem is that I would much rather cave his head in with a baseball bat.
Well I've found out today that I can't get screwed by the bank that the previous owner had finance with (AVCO Finance)
As far as my insurure (CGU - how I must say have been pretty damn good) are conserned the car is mine and won't give the money to anyone but me but they have a legal obligation to make sure that the bank know that I now own the car.
In short I will get the money it's just a matter of when.
Oh I don't need to worry about that. They did actully get the dude that stole my car :-)
He's in jail at the moment he was over 18 (22) and got 6months plus my insurance company sued him, plus I'm gonna sue him when he gets out (i've got 7 years)
So ha ha to that wanker and now I move on to the other wanker.
To many wankers in this world I tell ya!
