If the new airline is going to use Avalon airport does this mean the airshow won't be on during 2005?

I was thinking the very same thing today. I don't think aircraft would land in the middle of an aerobatic display! It all depends on what Linsay wants really and I'm sure that he wants both of them. He should also build another runway.

Hmmmmm I thought this too, it's only what, 3 flights a day? I'm sure they'd either slot those in on the day, direct them to Tulla or plainly not fly them for the day.

Hopefully they direct them to Tulla and keep the Air show a continous display at Avalon,it would be a shame if it were moved to another place(state maybe) or worse still cancelled.

Report on the radio this morning said the Airshow would not be affected. As mentioned, I would imagine this would involve redirecting a few flights.

Maybe the flights will go on as scheduled BUT have the aerobatics work around the flights. So that means after the F/A-18 Hornet roars it's tits off & struts his stuff, 5 minutes later a JetStar aircraft lands. Then 5 minutes after that's gone and done the C-130 can go up and do his fly-by and initiate a mock battle scene on the ground with paratroopers jumping off the cargo ramp!

Couldn't give a bugger if Jetstar does/doesn't turn during or after the airshow,I just hope the Yanks turn up with all their heavy hitters. Let's face it, no Yanks no airshow!
