Read Albury Wodonga All Ford Day 2003.......what Did You Think?

As this was the first ever ALL FORD DAY, held by the
Albury - Wodonga Early Ford Club INC, we would like some feedback, suggestions, likes and dislikes.

It looks like this will be an annual event so all comments welcome, either good or bad.

Post em here!:s6:

I didn't go but I would have to say the timing sucked with the GT Nats on in Bathurst on the same weekend. I guess not everybody that went to Albury Ford show would go to Bathurst or vica versa but it is still a conflict.

I think that if it was not in conflict with other events then it would be a grand turn out. Mind you i did not go due to the fact I am in the states...duhh.. but anyhow. You may want to get in touch with Ford/FPV and other clubs to see when they are planning on having large events like the GT event. NO need to compete for peoples attention between two events.

Well,
For our first show i personally think we didnt do a bad job. As the time goes on and the word spreads about this event the numbers will grow, and so will support from other clubs and owners from further afield. At this point we are planing to make this a yearly event.
I think our main oposition this year was the GT Nats.

For our first year we had in exess of 90 cars, 14 cars from the XR8 & XR6 Owners club of Vic, there were several cars from the Ford Performace club, and other clubs aswell.

If the 'Mopars on the Murry' event is anything to go by this event will become one to remember.

Their first event they had 60 odd cars, now they have had to cap numbers at 350 cars., and dont forget their are alot more fords around than Chryslers.

As soon as Botch helps me set up my homepage there will be pics posted, so hurry up Botch.

And yes Minge, we mised the Beast to.

we even got news coverage.

Pity I missed Sunday, but I got to see some of the cars on Saturday with the cruise and BBQ.

BTW it wouldn't have looked good having a sick BA there!

I would have loved to have attended the All Ford Day hosted by the Albury - Wodonga Early Ford Club on the weekend, but alas I had already had plans to go to the Falcon GT Nationals at Bathurst.

I think it was a bit of bad luck that the two events were held on the same weekend. The GT Nationals has traditionally been on the Easter weekend, this is the first in my memory that it wasn't held on the Easter weekend. The reason this happened was because the Falcon GT Club of NSW could only get the Bathurst Track on the Australia Day weekend (Easter was already taken).

Having said that, I hope to be at your all Ford Day next year!
