I use the software that came with my camera, by Canon, called funnily enough, PhotoStitch v3.1
It does a great job in the tests I have tried so far!! As long as the photos don't have vastly different contrasts (and brightnesses), then the stitches are basically transparent or not visible unless you are deliberately looking for them.

you can pic the joins in the first pic very easily, but i can only pick one in the second pic. the second pic looks VERY good imo! this is why it sux owning a conventional camera

Kelli, they are pretty damn good compared to some of the ones i've seen. The software that mike is using is pretty good too from what i've seen. One glitch with your pan shot of the tickford day mike is one of the guys is a ghost, makes it hard when people are moving but.

Yes!! I didn't plan that pan shot too well, basically pointed and shot the 4 pics.. and with people moving in the shot, its far from ideal for pan type pics.
Anyhow, here's another one I did up at Hawks Nest (near Nelson Bay), comprised of 4 shots. You can see the join in the middle, the lighting makes it a bit tricky, but possibly a pre-stitch touch up would eliminate this if you matched contrasts.
