The all new motor

The 5.6 litre is it stroked by ford or is it just out of the box??
and is the 4.6litre going to be in the falcons with a supercharger.

The 5.6 is a stroker or has a stroker kit in it yes.
Get hold of a copy of wheels or motor and read all about it.
To say it is a stroker isn't really doing it just, but there you go.

2002 your guess is as good as any. Strong rumour is 5.4 all alloy with either a 3 or 4 valve head

3 or 4 valve head thats a bit weak isnt it?
And isnt the Stroker kit doing much for the motor why dont they just hand it to tickford to put an SVO head and many more of those great SVO options.

SVO components are a bit pricey now wit hthe Oz dollar. They fit GT40P heads with some minor improvements which isn't too bad IMO. As for the quality of the finish on the heads, that's another issue but we have to realise it's mass production at the end of the day.

With the 5.6 here, where does that leave the 5l Windsor, I thinks it's gonna stay the same, but the 5.6 should be an option for all crrent Falcon's with the 5, but power decreased to about 230kW, to kick the SS's butt:D :eek: :o

There is no 5.6 here stuff. They are the 5.0 engines. Only about 500 or so have been allocated to Tickford for 5.6 conversion.

I gather the New Pursuit ute is going into production so it will be interesting to see if it is used in the V8 Brutes catergory, if so it will **** on the SS so they will have to bump up the commodes power.
5.6 v 5.7, should be very interesting.:D

I think the stroker will be used only for the T series and Pursuit Ute, I doubt they will put it in the XR8 I think they will just keep the 220 and wait until the new 5.4 for AV.

I think it's just a matter of time before the 255kw version of GenIII is standard in SS. CLubbies will probably get the current GTS motor (300kw) or maybe a 275kw version (as the HSV ski boat has) and the GTS might get the LS6 6.2lt 350kw as in the concept Malloo from SMS.
Saying this, I think the last thing Ford need to do is start de-tuning their motors. :(
